A portion of the introduction states concerning the writing of this book: "I realized that I was getting rather along in years (85) to undertake such a project". Don't know how many copies there are of this book.
It was sent to me in 2000 by Walter R. Yeary, Jr. (1916-2004), residing in New Braunfels, TX. Spoke with this gentleman several times on the telephone. Was hoping to visit him in person but he died in 2004.

I am related through marriage. My grandmother, Elizabeth Carroll Jones (1879-1966), was a daughter of James Edwin Jones (1844-1932) and Nancy Bumpass. James and Nancy met and married in 1865 in Person Co., NC. Their first child was Roberta Lindsey Jones, born in 1866.
In the Spring of 1867, James, Nancy and Roberta came to the Farmersville/Copeville area. James and Nancy had an additional seven children after they arrived in TX.
Roberta married Walter Bonar Yeary in 1886. Walter Bonar Yeary's father was Walter R. Yeary. Walter R. Yeary's father was John Walter Yeary aka Captain John (1796-1854).
