Margret was the daughter of Christian and Margaret Keller Baylor. She married John Fowler, 22 March 1821 in Augusta County, Virginia. She married Joshua Spainhoward, 29 March 1834 in Floyd County, Indiana. She married John Brown, 23 September 1849 in Floyd County.

Mrs. Margret B. Brown died this morning of paralysis of the throat, aged 81 years. Deceased was the mother of Mrs. Fred. Jackson and the late pilot George Fowler. She was born in Virginia Nov. 30, 1804, and was the widow of the late John Brown, a former well known citizen of New Albany. She was a pioneer of this city and a lady held in high esteem. The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Central Christian church, of which she had been a member many years.
