"SLOANSVILLE, Jan. 3 . . . Mrs. Emma Wells, a former local resident, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Katherine Wormoth, at Amsterdam, Saturday. Mrs. Wells was 88 years old and suffered a broken hip one week before her death. Funeral services were held in Amsterdam Monday afternoon. Interment was in the Sloansville Valley cemetery. Besides her daughter she is survived by two sons, Leon of Sloansville and Orie of Little Falls, and three granddaughters, Mrs. Gordon Fassett of North Adams and Misses Marjorie and Evelyn Wells."
