Quaker Street, June 18th, Smith White, one of the oldest residents of the Town of Duanesburg, and whose ancestors came to this country on the Mayflower, being a descendant of Peregrene White who was born at Plymouth three days after the landing of the Mayflower, was guest of honor on his 91st birthday at a family party at White Sulphur Springs.
Attending were Mr. White, Mr. and Mrs. Urban White, Mrs. Rhoda Barton, Quaker Street; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wood, Mrs. Jennie Wood, Little Falls; Mrs. D. A. Kelly, Crown Point; Mr. and Mrs. Austin Boynton, Miss Marjorie White, Schenectady; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Monthie, Central Bridge; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Barton, Betty Barton, Phyllis Barton, Delanson; Hugh MacDougall, Duanesburg; Douglas Neuhouse, Schenectady. Mr. White, last of a family of 13 brothers and sisters, is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob White, and was born near Quaker Street, on a farm. And today, in spite of his age, be enjoys farm work.

Duanesburg—Funeral services were held for Smith White, one of the oldest residents of the town of Duanesburg, Saturday afternoon, from the White funeral home in Delanson.
Mr. Smith died Wednesday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Austin Boynton, at Carlisle. He was born in Duanesburg, June 7, 1848, a son of Jacob and Mahala Briggs White. He was the last of a family of 13 children and was a retired farmer.
He is survived by one son, Urban White of Plattsburg, three daughters, Mrs. Oscar Wood of Little Falls; Mrs. Floyd Barton of Delanson and Mrs. Boynton of Carlisle. He also leaves nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
