Jeremy Lewis, 29, of 101 Private Addition, Mitchell, passed away at 4:40 p.m. on Monday at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Born Dec. 20, 1981, in Bedford, he was the son of James E. and Helen L. (Edwards) Lewis. He was a graduate of Mitchell High School with the class of 2000 and attended Ivy Tech in Bloomington.

He was a member of the Bedford Baptist Temple where he worked with the youth. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his parents of Mitchell; a daughter, Alexzania Simpson of Bedford; three sisters, Kathy (Gordon) Campen of Bedford, Karen Wise of Mitchell and Lisa Dumond of Bedford; 11 nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Patrick Wise and his grandparents.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Bedford Baptist Temple with Pastor Dr. Lyman Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 10 a.m. until the service on Friday at the church.
