Funeral services for Albert Bleckwenn, 70, Fenton farmer, were were held at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Luke's Lutheran church in Fairville township near Cylinder.
The. Rev. Robert Eckelman officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Ellsworth Belter Funeral Home of Emmetsburg was in charge. The body was taken to the church at noon Monday.
A lifelong Palo Alto county resident, Mr. Bleckwenn died Thursday at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester, Minn. following a lengthy illness.
He was married in April, 1916, to Lena Wegener at the Fairville church. Besides his widow he is survived by three sons, Gilbert of Cylinder, Lloyd of Fenton and Theodore of Phoenix, Ariz. and five grandchildren.
Also surviving is a brother, Alfred F. Bleckwenn of Medical Lake, Wash., two sisters, Mrs. Claude Wright of Estherville and Mrs. Henry Bruhn of Cylinder; his step-mother. Mrs. Sophia Bleckwenn of Fenton and the following half brothers and sisters: Emil Bleckwenn of Fenton; Mrs. Emmett Harris of Philadelphia; Mrs. Alton Davis of New Richmond, Wis.; Paul of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Wayne Alderson of Fenton and Mrs. Irene Treckner of Rolling Hills, Calif.
Mr. Bleckwenn ahd many friends in Palo Alto county who regretted to learn of his death.
