Sarah E. Davis was the first wife of William W. Beauchamp. They were married Sept. 3, 1848 according to the Meriwether County Marriage Book B pg. 71.

William was a grocer, as well as being a well known citizen and farmer. He was, for years, a Justice Of The Peace. William petitioned The Ordinary Court of Meriwether County Georgia for guardianship of his youngest brother, Elijah, during the November 1850 term of said court. This is recorded in book 2, page 207 of the 1846 to 1855 court minutes. This can also be found in Microfilm drawer 13, roll 24, at the Ga. Department of Archives and History. (GCH)
