Antonio Manuel Pereira Cardoso Luis was born April 8, 1882 in Pedro Miguel, Horta, Azores, son of Antonio Pereira Cardoso daSilveira and Maria Margarida Luis daSilva. In 1884 he arrived with his mother in the United States, where Antonio became Anthony Dexter “Tony" Perry.

His first marriage was to Mrs. Dora Gould (neé Bowen), who died in 1922. From this marriage his daughter Thelma was born. He married second Mrs. Carrie (Joseph) Perry, previously married to Manuel Perry. Carrie was the mother of one child, Helen Perry, from her first marriage. Tony Perry died in 1946 at age 64 and is buried with second wife Carrie in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, California.

Anthony Perry Died Wednesday
Anthony D. Perry. who has lived in this community for the past six years, died at his home on Alice Street, Wednesday morning. He was a veteran of World War I.

Mr. Perry was the husband of Carrie Perry of Santa Cruz and father of Mrs. Thelma Early [sic] of Los Angeles and son of Antone C. Perry of Richmond. He was the brother of J. H. Perry, F. D. Perry, Mrs. Margaret Luiz and Mrs. Mary Christian, all of Richmond. His birthplace was Portugal, where he was born 64 years ago. He was a member of Cypress Woodmen of the World No. 141 of Hayward.

Friends may call at he Brenkwitz Mortuary, 12 Laurel Street, Wednesday evening. Thursday morning the body will be forwarded to Sorenson Brothers Mortuary, Hayward. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at All Saints Church. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward. Rosary services at the Sorenson Mortuary Friday evening.
