Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He was a Farrier in the United States Army. He was awarded the Medal of Honor as a Private in Company F, 4th US Cavalry for action on September 29, 1872 at Red River, Texas. His citation reads "Gallantry in action with Indians."
