Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick Catholic Church, La Salle. The Rev. Ronald Margherio, O.S.B., will officiate. Burial will be at St. Vincent's Cemetery, La Salle.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday and 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday in Hurst Funeral Home, La Salle.
Mr. Duncan was born July 7, 1934, in La Salle to John S. and Louise (Kreis) Duncan.
He graduated from St. Bede Academy and attended the University of Notre Dame. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-59 and was stationed in Germany. He retired from La Salle State Bank and owned and operated Lighthouse Supper Club on First Street in La Salle.
He was a member of St. Patrick Church, La Salle Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals, past president of Illinois Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, St. Bede Bedan Club, Starved Rock Notre Dame Club, La Salle Lions Club, La Salle-Peru Elks Lodge and a former member of Deer Park Country Club.
Survivors are two daughters, Connie (Dan) Whetstone of Soderborg, Denmark, and Katie Totz of Loves Park; four sons, Michael (Jill) Duncan of West Chester, Pa., Stuart (Mary) Duncan Jr. of Chesterfield, Mo., Brian (Carol) Duncan of Bolingbrook and Patrick (Rebecca) Duncan of Birmingham, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Susan (Dan) Lawler of La Salle and Jane (Bob) Wamhoff of La Salle; and one brother, John S. (Karen) Duncan of La Salle.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be directed to St. Bede Academy or Lighted Way.
Pallbearers will be Tom, Kelly, Ben, Conner, Joe, Claire, Jack, Anna, Michael and Matthew Duncan; and Skylar, Jadyn and Cameron Totz.
