Wasilla resident Kirk Davis, 41, died Dec. 17, 1998, of heart failure at Valley Hospital. A memorial service was at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9365, 301 E. Lakeview Ave. (just off Knik-Goose Bay Road) in Wasilla.
Mr. Davis was born on June 6, 1957, in Kellogg, Idaho, and graduated from Chugiak High School in 1976. He had worked as an equipment operator in the construction industry. According to his 14-year-old nephew, Mr. Davis was an intelligent man who was a role-model, a brother or father, and most of all a friend. He loved hunting, fishing, learning about World War II and talking about guns.
Mr. Davis is survived by his mother and father, Harry and Beverly Davis of Wasilla; sister, Tammi Chiodo of Chugiak; brother, Todd Davis of Wasilla; nephew, Jimmy Chiodo of Chugiak; and two nieces, Jody Chiodo and Briley Davis of Wasilla. Cremation arrangements were by Valley Funeral Home & Crematory of Wasilla.
