Funeral services for Jamison Victor Scaife of Sanatorium were held Wednesday, morning from the Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ed Hightower and Rev. J. H. Cameron officiating. Interment was in the in Magee cemetery with Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Scaife, 84 years old, died Tuesday at Magee General Hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Alabama and had operated the Scaife Hotel at Sanatorium for fifty-one years.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Frank F. Ackers [sic, s/b Akers], Jr. of Jackson, Alice M. Ackers [sic, s/b Akers] of New Orleans and Charles R. Ackers [sic, s/b Akers] of Magee; and one son-in-law, Frank F. Ackers [sic, s/b Akers], Sr. of Sanatorium.
