Harry M. Johnston, 79, of Cameron Star Route, Waynesburg, died at 3:45 a.m. Monday, January 1, 1968, in Greene County Memorial Hospital following a heart attack.
He was born December 11, 1888, in Center Township, the son of George and Minerva Boyd Johnston.
Mr. Johnston, a well known farmer and stock raiser, had lived all his life in Center Township. He was a mmeber (sic) of several farm organizations and the Throckmorton Methodist Church.
His wife, Mary Breese Johnston, whom he married September 27, 1916, survives, as do three sons, Glenn H. Johnston, of Waynesburg, R. D. 1, Charles W. Johnston, of Washington, R. D. 5, and Carl I. Johnston, of Waynesburg; three daughters, Dorothy, at home, Mrs. Frances Crawford, of Ebensburg, and Mrs. Eleen (sic) Fox, of Waynesburg; 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was the last of his immediate family.
Three children are deceased.
Funeral services were held Thursday with burial in Hopewell Cemetery.
