A native of Chicago, he was born April 9, 1921 to Robert A and Freda (Hagen) Zigler and had lived in Reno for several years, coming from California, Arizona and Bandera, Texas.
Zigler served in the Army from July 17, 1940 to Aug. 9, 1994. He had also been a gold miner, photographer, licensed pilot, poet and a songwriter.
His parents preceded him in death. There are no known survivors.*
A memorial service will be at a later date.
Cremation will be at Sierra Crematory, under the direction of O'Brien Rogers and Crosby Funeral Home.
