Mrs Ruth E. Burns, 76, of Grand Island, Ne, formerly of Clarinda, died Sunday evening at St Francis Hospital in Grand Island after a long illness.
She was born June 5, 1908 at Rockwell City, Ia, the daughter of Wilbert and Sadie Wooten Gray. At an early age she came to Clarinda and lived here until moving to Grand Island in 1978.
She was married to Clarence Burns who preceded her in death.
Survivors include a brother, Gilbert Gray of Elryia, Oh, and sisters, Lucille Gray and Doris McBride of Grand Island, Ne.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 am, Tuesday at Clarinda Cemetery with Rev John Clark officiating.
