Mrs. Elsie Plunkett Humphries, Mableton, passed away on May 17, 2011 at the age of 92. Born and raised in Atlanta, Elsie was the last surviving of eight children. She retired from Cobb County School System and was a member of Pebblebrook Baptist Church.
Her husband, Sam C. Humphries preceded her in death.
She is survived by: her daughters & sons-in-law, Patricia (Pat) Tyson of Athens, Carleen (Becky) and Jim Harber of Acworth, and Linda & Lawrence Wynn of Villa Rica, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren
Services were held at Davis-Struempf Chapel on Friday, May 20, 2011, with Rev. John Creech officiating.
Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
