Ron passed away peacefully in a local hospital early Saturday morning on June 25th after an extended illness. Born in Hialeah in 1953 to Carol Marlene Pepin and the late George E. Pepin, he moved with his family to West Palm Beach in 1957. Ron attended Holy Name of Jesus elementary, Cardinal Newman High School and Forest Hill High School. He worked in the family business, Ray Roofing Company, Inc. as a roofer, sheet metal worker, supervisor and, most recently, sales representative. He always had a good relationship with his customers and was known for his honesty and integrity. Ron enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his mother, Ron is survived by his brother Richard and his wife Sandy, and his sister Melanie Luikart and her husband Gordon. Ron was the favorite uncle who was especially generous to his nephews and nieces, Jeff Pepin and his wife Megan, Matthew Pepin and his wife Laura, T. J. Pepin, Emily Pepin, Genevieve Flanagan and her husband Joseph. He will also be greatly missed by his stepdaughter Tina McGee, her husband Brandon, their lovely daughters, Harmony, Faith and Lily, his dear friend Angelina Garcia, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 1201 South Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL, 33401. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 345 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL, 33415. Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
