Mrs. Yvonne Mae (Richardson Henrichs) Bunney, 65, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 1990, at her home near Snohomish, Washington.

Yvonne, the third child of Galen and Mae J. (Underdahl) Richardson, was born on Friday, Nov. 28, 1924, in Minot, North Dakota. She attended the Burlington- Minot public schools and Minot Senior High School during her youth.

She married William F. Henrichs, Jr. on Sunday, March 1, 1942, in Minot, ND. Sgt. Henrichs was killed shortly after the Normandy Invasion on Wednesday, June 14, 1944, in Ampreville, France during WWII.

In March of 1943, Yvonne moved from Minot, North Dakota to the greater Everett, Washington where she would make Snohomish County her home for the remainder of her life. After the death of her first husband during the war, Yvonne went on and worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" [a welder on ships] down on the waterfront at the Everett Shipyard.

On Thursday, Aug 7, 1947, Yvonne married Daniel J. Bunney in Seattle, King County, Washington. Several years after their marriage in Nov. of 1949, they moved to a small farm in the Swans Trail area near Snohomish and she made that her home up until her death.

During Yvonne's Swan Trail years, 1949-1990, She was a mother and homemaker. She loved her role as a mother because she had a heartfelt love of children. For several years between 1958-60, she was a Den Mother in Cub Scouts held in her home for her son Dennis. During the 1960s she taught Sunday school at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Swans Trail where she had become a member on Sunday, May 25, 1958. Yvonne also loved her role of being a grandmother by reading and spending time with each one of them. She had talents for gardening and canning. Many times she assisted her husband in home remodeling projects. In the mid-1970s, she took some art lessons and became relatively good with watercolors and sketching. Yvonne in the late 1970s to mid-1980s worked at Parkway in Snohomish and retired in 1985.

She is survived by her husband Daniel of 43 years; a daughter, Sandra (Monty Critchley) Henrichs; two sons: Dennis (Ardith) Bunney and Bryan A. Bunney. Grandchildren: Julie Radke; Genelle, Gabrielle and Adam Bunney and one great-granddaughter, Lindsay Radke all of the Everett area. Mrs. Bunney is also survived by her sibling: Glen (Audrey) Richardson of Vancouver, WA.; Eunice Blankenberg; Betty (Norm) Turner; Dean (Carol) Richardson; Carol (Dick) Johnson a sister-in-law Janet Richardson all of the Everett area and her brother David Richardson of San Juan Capistrano, CA. A special, former, sister-in-law, Frances (Henrichs) Rasmuson of Surrey, North Dakota.

Mrs. Bunney is preceded in death by her parents Galen and Mae Richardson; her late husband, Sgt. William F. Henrichs, Jr.; siblings: Rita, Paul and James Richardson and her little dog, Mr. Smith.

The funeral arrangements will be held at Purdy and Walters with Cassidy on Friday, July 13, 1990, and burial at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Everett, Washington.
