Mrs. Leonard, 87, Dies This Morning
Mrs. Alice Leonard of 359 North Grant Street died this morning at 8:15 in Janie's Nursing Home at Franklin at the age of 87. She had been in failing health for some time.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Foster, she was born Aug. 11, 1870, in Jefferson Township. She had lived the greater part of her life in Martinsville and was a member of Kelso Chapel. Her husband, David Leonard, died in 1927.
Mrs. Leonard leaves a son, Robert J. Leonard, of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Don Anderson of Indianapolis; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Sarah White of Miami. Fla.; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is a brother, Fred Foster of Indianapolis. One son, one daughter, three brothers, and two sisters are deceased.
Her funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at 10:30 in the Cure and Hensley Chapel, with burial following in Hilldale Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Funeral home after 7 o'clock Thursday evening.
