Mary Adkins
ROCHESTER -- Mary Adkins, 100, of Rochester passed away Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday at Church of Christ, Rochester with John Greeson and Travis Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Rule Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Adkins was born on March 3, 1902 in Hill County, TX. She married Ace Adkins in 1919 and he preceded her in death in 1980. She was a homemaker and lived in Haskell County 83 years.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son and wife, Eddie and Virginia Adkins of O'Brien; one daughter, Mrs. Sam (Joyce Nell) Turner of Rule; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Wilburn Adkins and three grandchildren, Jim Ed Adkins, Pam Elmore and Sam Adkins.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
