Wilford B Wright, 81, of Delanson, a retired Schenectady County Welfare Department employee, died Tuesday in Ellis Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. , A member of the Duanesburg Senior Citizens, Wright retired from the county post in 1958 after 17 years of service. Earlier he had been a roundhouse foreman for the Delaware and Hudson Railroad, and the South Berne native also was the owner operator of a Delanson butcher shop in addition to working at the GLF Feed Store in the village.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Pearl H. Wright; a son, Emmett Wright of Delanson; a daughter, Mrs. Charles M. Brown of Delanson; and several nieces and nephews. The Rev. Harry Burdess of the Delanson Methodist Church will officiate at the 2 p.m; services tomorrow in the White Funeral Home," Delanson, which will, be open from 7-9 p.m. today. Burial will be in the Sloansville Cemetery.
