George Dennis, age 92, of Big Clifty, Ky., died Thursday, November 22, 2007 in Radcliff, Ky. He was born July 1, 1915. He was a farmer and a carpenter, and attended Mt. Olive Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Luella Marie Witten Dennis; and his parents, Riley and Sudie Dupin Dennis. He is survived by his son, James E. (Sara) Dennis of Elizabethtown, Ky.; two brothers, Rubert Dennis of Hudson, Ky. and Louis (Rena) Dennis of Hardin Springs, Ky.; four sisters, Geneva (Stanley) Raymer of Holly, Ky., Jewell Miller of Leitchfield, Edna "Rea" Miller of Hardin Springs, Ky., and Lila (Everett) Roof of Vertress, Ky.; and special friend, Wanda Hay Dennis of Elizabethtown. Also surviving: granddaughter, Amy Dennis Jennings of Elizabethtown; and great-grandson, Brandon Tyler Jennings of Elizabethtown; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, November 25, 2007 at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home, in Clarkson, Ky., with Bro. Glen Cornett officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Leitchfield.
