Notes:

It has been suggested that Silas rode with Lewis & Clark during their expeditions.

The death date for Silas was supplied by Judge James M. Simmons, grandson of John and Elisabeth Watt. There is however some confusion to this date, as several other sources place it as 1836 & 1838.

It should be noted that there were several but minor errors found in the data from James M. Simmons regarding other family members.

No spouse has ever been located for Silas and is doubtful that he ever married.

Parents:

John Watt, 8/24/1872, Pennsylvania-2/08/1854, Warren County. Watt/Flora Cemetery.

Elisabeth "Betsy" Lowden, 1/31/1788, Maryland-8/23/1862, Warren County. Watt/Flora Cemetery.

At present, no stone has been located for Silas.
