Leo Schumacher Sr.

Leo Schumacher Sr., 95 of St Mary Home, Manitowoc, formerly of Brillion Died Monday. Funeral services will be at Wieting Funeral Home and St. Mary Catholic Church Brillion.The Rev. Donald Schneider will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Schumacher was born Feb. 2, 1882 at Luxemburg Germany, son of Peter and Catherine Paradise Schumacher. He came to the United States in 1912 and married Margaret Schuh, May 2, 1916 at Kasson. They farmed in the Brillion area until his retirement. Mrs. Schumacher preceded him in death. He was a member of St. Mary Church.

Survivors include four sons, Clarence of DePere, Leo Jr. of Manitowoc and Alfred and Charles of Brillion, two daughters, Mrs. Norbert (Gertrude) Miller of Brillion and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Cohen of Greenleaf; a sister, Mrs. Anna Rollinger of the Country of France, 39 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. A son, Victor, was killed in action in World War II. Three brothers, a sister and a grandson also preceded him in death.
