OAKDALE - Last rites for Mrs. Flora Whitman Lee, 83, were held at 3 p.m. today at the Oakdale First Baptist church with the Rev. H. T. Sullivan officiating. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery under direction of Ardoin funeral home Mrs. Lee died at 3:50 p.m. Monday at her home. She had lived in Oakdale for the past 57 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ruth L. Cartwright of Oakdale and Mrs. Edith L. Vanderburg of Fort Worth, Tex.; one brother, W. S. Whitman of Channelview, Tex. and one grandchild. (Published in The Lake Charles American Press, June 27, 1961)
