Civil War CSA Congressman. Served as a Colonel in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. Served as a Delegate to the Louisiana State Constitutional Convention in 1852, Member of Louisiana State Legislature in 1854, Presidential Elector from Louisiana in 1856, Candidate for United States Representative from Louisiana in 1860, and Representative from Louisiana in the Confederate Congress from 1862 to 1865.
