US Congressman. Served with the 2nd Louisiana Infantry during Civil War. Elected to represent Louisiana's 4th District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1875 to 1877. Also served as a Member of the Louisiana State House of Representatives in 1859, Delegate to Louisiana State Constitutional Convention in 1879, and Justice of the Louisiana State Supreme Court in 1879.
