Anna Katherine Rosche was born in Sage, Oldenburg, Germany. Her father was Johann Berend Rosche. She married Henry Hofelmann on 21 September, 1868 in probably Mayville, Dodge County, Wisconsin. She is on an 1870 census in Williamsburg Township, Dodge County, Wisconsin with husband, Henry, and one unnamed child born Nov 1869. In 1880, they were farming in Mound Township in Rock County Minnesota. When she died in 1887, she had five living children about ages 2, 9, 11, 15 and 16.
