ABILENE -- Helen J. Kean, 85, of Abilene, died Friday, June 24, 2011. She was born Aug. 19, 1925, in Salina, the daughter of Mearl R. Sr. and Paulina Marie (Benz) Guthrie.
She was a former dental assistant, a child-care provider and a hospital auxiliary volunteer.
Survivors: brother, Mearl R. Guthrie Jr., of Bowling Green, Ohio; a nephew, a niece and a grandniece. Preceded by: husband, Harold; and two sons, Danny Ray Graves and Gary Allen Kean.
Graveside services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, in Abilene Cemetery.
