Known as Bill Adams (this is what his stone says), he was born in Emory, Texas to Luke and Martha Tensley Ketchum Adams. Around 1900, his family migrated to Oklahoma, somewhere in Bryan or Johnston County. After he married Pearl Brown on 03/04/1913, he moved to Earlsboro, Oklahoma and later settled in Seminole. He always considered Seminole as his hometown. He worked for the City of Seminole in the water department. He was a rancher and an avid horseman, being active in the Seminole Round-Up Club. One of the notable things he was remember for was being kidnapped in the mid 1940's by a man who shot a policeman over a minor dispute. After this man shot the policeman at a local bank, he ran down the street to the water department, held up Adams and another city employee at gunpoint, and forced them to drive him out of town. After several hours, the man let Adams go, unharmed.

He had five children: Florence Adams Wilburn, Vera Lavada Adams, Albert "Sonny" Adams, Troy Dellard Adams, and Olden W. "Babe" Adams.
