Mildred Jane Lane, 86, of Holbrook's Nursing Home, Buckhannon, died Friday, May 23, 2003, in Holbrook's Nursing Home, Buckhannon.
She was born Feb. 8, 1917, in Braxton County, a daughter of the late Benjamin H. and Rosie Butcher Lake.
She married Glenville Lane, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda McCauley, Elkins, and Wanda DorryCott, Youngstown, Ohio; one son, Raymond E. Lane, Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Diana Smith; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant baby; one son, James R. Lane; five sisters, Edna, Thelma Golf, Hattie, Leloa and Susan; and two brothers, Junior Lake and an infant brother.
She was a homemaker.
Friends were received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Sunday. Funeral services were held in the funeral home chapel Monday with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Interment will follow in Heavner Cemetery at Buckhannon.
