Spearman, Tex. — Services for Kip Pittman, 33, Morse, Tex., were Sunday at the Church of Christ, Spearman, Tex. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at the Southside Church of Christ, Lawrence, Kan.
Mr. Pittman died Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, at his home.
He was born July 3, 1967, in Spearman, Tex., the son of Frank and Lucy Pittman. He graduated from Harding University, Searcy, Ark., and moved to Morse, Tex., in August 1999.
Mr. Pittman had served as a campus minister in Tonkawa, Okla., and was a coach and social studies teacher in Kermit, Tex., and Booker, Tex. He had also worked as a youth minister at Southside Church of Christ, coached junior high girls basketball and volleyball for the Eudora, Kan., schools, and directed and taught at the Kansas Christian Camp.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa, of the home; a son, Zane, of the home; three daughters, Hannah, Chloe and Sadie Pittman, of the home; his parents, Morse, Tex.; his grandparents, Erlis and Ethel Pittman, Spearman, Tex.; and his grandfather, L.J. Norman, Granite, Okla.
The family suggests memorials to the Christian Camp Inc., sent in care of Jerry Myers, 3713 S. 34th St., Topeka 66614.
Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Spearman, Tex., is in charge of arrangements.
