Paul Ford, 78, Passed Away Thurs., Dec. 9 at Hammond

Paul Holmes Ford, 78, of Hammond passed away Thursday evening, Dec. 9, at the American Heritage Care Center of Hammond.

Paul was born on July 25, 1898, at Cedar Falls, Ia., the son of Enos and Mary Ford.

Paul farmed in Hammond Township for more that 40 years, retiring in 1964. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Hammond. A member of the St. Croix Valley Writing Club, Paul enjoyed writing and seeing the accomplishments of having some of his work published.

Preceding Paul in death were his parents, his wife Edna who passed away in 1953, one sister and three brothers.

Paul is survived by his wife Carol of Hammond, and by five children; Mrs. Richard (Mayme) Nelson of Minneapolis, Paul William of Hammond, Mrs. Berkley (Eleanor) Larson of Colorado Springs, Rev. Milton Ford of Menomonie, and Mrs. William (Phyllis) Baltor of Portage, Mich.; by nine grandchildren; and by one sister, Mrs. Ruth Hubert of Olivet, Mich.

Visitation was held Sunday afternoon and evening, Dec. 12 at the Dull Funeral Home.

Private services were held at the Dull Funeral Home on Monday morning, Dec. 13th at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment in the Hammond Cemetery. Memorial services were held at the United Methodist Church of Hammond at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Ned Hintzman officiating. Casketbearers were Herb Turner, Elmer Smith, Walle Clapp, Dan Linneman, Warren Rode and Donald Rode. Music was provided by Gary Afdahl, organist.

Arrangements were made by Dull Funeral Home of Baldwin.
