Rev. J. W. Gower, was a minister/pastor in the Ashland Quarterly Meeting of churches, [TN] which was composed of the following churches: Good Spring; Heads: Bethlehem; Oakland; Charity; Mt. Zion; Shady Grove; Grange, Old Zion; Oaklawn, and North Nashville. Names of ministers were listed, and then stated, "W.H. Head, and J. W. Gower, prominent ministers, have recently died." Pub. 1889.
