Ada Lucille Roth, 78, of 116 Pleasant Ave., Elkins, and a patient in the Talbott Personal Care Home since February, passed away at 10:58 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at the home.
She was born Dec. 24, 1924, at Ellamore, the daughter of the late Erskin Hayward and Marie Edna Nixon Booth.
On April 1, 1944, in Buckhannon, she was married to John Henry Roth Sr., who preceded her in death in 1991.
Surviving are three sons, James Michael Roth, John Henry Roth Jr. and Terrill Lee Roth, all of Elkins; one daughter, Tamela Sue Kittle of Elkins; one sister, Shirley Ann Cogar of McKeesport, Pa.; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were one son, Steven Gilbert Roth; one brother, Gilbert Henry Booth; and one sister, Lottie Leah Landis.
Mrs. Roth attended the schools of Barbour County, was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Brethren and the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Elkins.
Friends were received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. F.L. "Wink" McQuain and the Rev. Walter Blough officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Ada Lucille Roth.
