ARTHUR CHESTER JOHNSON, 86 entered into rest Thursday, February 6, 2003. Chester was preceded in death by his son, Vernon Andrew Johnson. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Anna Bernadena Johnson; his daughters, Maureen Elise Maloney and husband Sean, Valerie Celeste Gootee and husband Ray, Kathleen Anna Hassell and husband Steve; his sons, Roderick G. Johnson and wife Pamela, Gregory Chester Cohone Johnson and wife Cheri, Henry E. P. Johnson and wife Mary; his sister, Gladys Johnson; grandchildren, Joey, Jeffrey, Richard, Brittany, Katheryn, Christina, and Laura; his great-grandchildren, Logan, Avery, Hayden, Regan, Braeden; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, February 9, 2003 at Colonial Funeral Home 901 S. Main, Pasadena, TX from 5pm to 8pm with a Wake Service at 7pm. His Catholic Rite of Funeral Mass will be at 11 am Monday at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 824 S. Main, Pasadena, TX. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to: Hospice Care Team, Inc. 540 Normandy St. Houston, Texas 77015.
