Margaret was the daughter of Jacob Hower and Hannah Kimmel. She married Pleman Cook on 4 Mar 1852 in Newton, Trumbull, OH. They moved to Leighton Twp, Allegan Co, MI after Pleman's service in the Civil War. They had ten children. (See Pleman's memorial for details.) Margaret died during the birth of her son Martin on 3 June 1874. Her name does not appear on Hooker Cemetery's records. She most likely is buried there without a tombstone.
