Newton Voorhees, who died Fri-
day at the age of 101, will be
buried here today.
Voorhees long life was inter-
spersed with variety. He left his
meat business in 1919 to take up
harness racing and was in his 50's
when he won trophies at tracks in
Newark, Freehold and elsewhere.
The funeral will be from the
Layton Funeral Home.
