Mary was the daughter of William Francis Palmer and Caroline Dulaney. She was the wife of Charles Ready Esquire, founder of Readyville, Tennessee. She was the mother of ten (10) children, three (3) sons and (7) daughters. When she passed in 1848, three (3) of her children had already died. It was well know that she was devoted to her husband, children, her church and her community.
