Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Eagleville for Sadie Cambron, 79, who passed away in the Cedarville hospital November 22. Interment was in the Eagleville cemetery.
Sadie Louella Cambron was born in Fort Bidwell, California, October 25, 1878, one of seven children to Loami and Sarah Adams.
December 24, 1896, she was married to Benjamin F. Cambron, who with two small daughters, preceded her in death.
All of her life was lived in Modoc county, except for 10 years she and her husband spent in Alaska, where she accompanied him into the farthes and most remote parts of that territory, mining for gold and enduring many daring and adventuresome experiences, all of which have vividly remained with her in memory through the years.
Two sisters are now left to mourn her passing, Mrs. Jennie Cambron and Mrs. Grace Street, both of Eagleville, California, as well as a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends and neighbors.
