COOK, GLEN RAYMOND - age 79 of Knoxville passed away Friday, June 24, 2011, at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. He was a member of Sand Branch United Methodist Church where he served as an usher. Preceded in death by wife, Margaret (Howell) Cook; parents, Samuel and Louvernia (Lay) Cook; brothers, Jack, Owen, Minnis, Walter, Taylor, Ailor, and twin brother, Lynn Cook; sisters, Alvida Shoffner, Lucy Eastridge, Ann Shofner, and Lillis Cook. Survived by son, Steve Cook; daughter, Glenda Cook; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers, Deward and Lonnie Cook; sister, Joyce Clark; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Monday, June 27, 2011, at Sand Branch United Methodist Church with Rev. Amanda Madson and Rev. Becky Smithey officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:45 AM Tuesday at Eastview Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 AM interment. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Monday at Sand Branch United Methodist Church.
