ROSIE MARIE TORREGROSSA, beloved aunt and sister, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2002 at the age of 79. A graduate of Reagan High School, "Aunt Rosie", as those who came to know and love her over her 50+ year career in the
Houston grocery and beauty business, touched everyone with her beautiful smile, lively spirit and strength of character. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cologero and Antoinette Brocco Torregrossa; brothers, Luke, Jack, Lee and Joe; sister, Lucy Biondo and Jennie Orlando. She is survived by her sisters, Sarah Biondolillo and Mary Jo Rizzotto as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will be present to receive friends for visitation from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with a Rosary and Vigil to begin at 7:00 pm, Friday, December 27, 2002 in the Chapel of J.B. Earthman - Tanglewood Funeral Directors, 5740 San Felipe at Bering Drive. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, December 28, 2002 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 8825 Kempwood Drive, with Bishop Vincent M. Rizotto, Celebrant. Rite of Committal to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Sammy Joe Biondo, Joe Bonno, Michael Orlando, Kellee St. Clair, Carl Torregrossa and Michael Torregrossa. Honorary Pallbearers will be great-nephews, Chris Bonno and Jerry Longsworth; great grand-nephews, Wesley Longsworth and Dawson Pickett; great-nieces, Connie Longsworth and Stephanie Pickett; great grand-nieces, Amanda Longsworth, Kathleen Longsworth and Kobi Pickett.
