Buster fought a long hard battle with cancer. He was a member of Yadkin Va lley Baptist Church and had retired from Thomasville Furniture. Most recen tly, he drove for Howard's Cab. He had a real love for nature and anima ls and enjoyed hunting.
Other than his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters a nd 2 brothers.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Carol Hughes and husband Darrell of Mario n; Rita Nichols and husband Bruce of Lenoir; Joyce Watson and husband Jer ry of Lenoir; 3 sons, Tommy Greene and wife Sharon of Lenoir; Billy Gree ne and wife Patsy of Boomer; (Buster) B.L. Greene and wife Susan of Lenoi r; 3 sisters, Doris Smith of Lenoir; Dollie Jordan of Lenoir; Mary Docia G reene of Greensboro; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Buster's life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 18, 2 009 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Bobby Pritchard o fficiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, one hour pri or to the service at Evans Funeral Service on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be: Jared Walker, Joseph Greene, Kenneth Greene, Josh Dil lard, Jonathan Pritchard, Eddie Cheek and Darren Dillard.
The family respectfully requests memorials being made to Caldwell Hospi ce and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
