Luzelda Stephen
Luzelda E. "Bill" Stephen, 83, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Friday, September 1, 2006 in Wheeling Hospital. She was born October 27, 1922 in Monroe County to the late Clem and Becky (Stephen) Burkhart.
She was a retired seamstress for LGM Company, Woodsfield, a loving mother and grandmother, a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Miltonsburg and a member of the Catholic Women's Club. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and gardening.
She was preceded by three brothers: Joe, Everett and Francis Burkhart and three sisters: Virginia Kimble, Audrey Carpenter and Hilda Burkhart.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Clarence; two sons: Robert (Carolyn) Stephen of Beallsville, and Lonnie (Marilyn) Stephen of Reynoldsburg; one daughter, Connie of the home; two sisters: Lillian (Harlen) Mercer of Barnesville and Edna (Bill) Tepley of Eastlake, Ohio; three grandsons: Travis, Mathew and Spencer Stephen; and two granddaughters: Tawnya Stephen and Tracey Lewis.
Visitation 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, at Campbell - Plumly - Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Miltonsburg, Ohio with Father David Gaydosik officiating. Burial follows in St. John's Cemetery.
Vigil service at 3:45 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home
