Richard (Dickie) Stottlemyer, 85, 718 Ford St., Lapel, died Monday evening at Noblesville Healthcare Centre following a lingering illness. Born on Dec. 15, 1892 in Hamilton County, he was employed as a farmer for 40 years. He and his wife, Pearl, were antique dealers and collectors for many years. The deceased was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Wayne Brotherhood and Sisterhood, Perkinsville Good Samaritan Society and a charter member of the American Legion Post 212 in Lapel. He was also a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by his wife, a sister, Mrs. Rowena Moore of Lapel, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 21 at 2 p.m. at the Fisher Brothers Funeral Home in Lapel with the Rev. Joe Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.
