Jewell Gresham
Mrs. Jewell Gresham, age 76 of Whitney, died on Monday, January 17, in a Whitney hospital. Services were held at 11 a.m. on January 19 at the Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro with Dr. Allen Lane officiating.
Mrs. Gresham was born November 1, 1917 in Knox City, the daughter of Luther Leonard and Frances Elizabeth (Pullig) Lightfoot. She lived in Lamesa and while there married John Gresham in 1939. They lived in Fort Worth before moving to Whitney in 1951. They owned the Hillcrest Marina on Lake Whitney. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Gresham is survived by her husband, John B. Gresham; one brother, D.D. Lightfoot of Fort Worth; and one sister, Bobi D. Winterrowd of Lubbock.
Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney were in Charge of the arrangements.
