Jimmie Durante Palmer, 65, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. Born January 16, 1946 in Mitchell County, Mr. Palmer was the son of the late David Elijah Palmer and Mary Leona Martin Palmer. He was a member of the U.S. Marines and served in Vietnam. Mr. Palmer attended the Parkway Church of God in Thomasville and worked with Award Winning Printing Company of Albany.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Jean; two brothers, Charlie E. and James J.; two sisters Dora Lee (John), and Mazie; several nieces and nephews.
