Shem Ullom Dead at 96
Aged Resident Passes Away at Home of His Son, Mr. James B. Ullom of
No. 123 Charles Street

Death is due to old age—Deceased is confined to his bed only a week—The Remains
Will be taken to Iberia for the Funeral and the Interment.
Mr. Shem Ullom, aged ninety-six years, one month and three days, died at 8 o'clock, Sunday evening, at the home of his son, Mr. James B. Ullom, of No. 123 Charles Street. Death was due to old age, the deceased having been confined to his bed about a week. He had always enjoyed good health and attributed his long life to simple living.
The deceased had been a resident of the county about fourteen years. Three sons and three daughters survive. They are Mame H. Ullom of this city, Joshua Ullom, of Covington, Kentucky, William Ullom of Chillicothe; Mrs. Thomas Garfield of Edison; Mrs. Peter Janes of Iberia and Mrs. James Hannam of Kansas.
The remains will be taken to Iberia, Tuesday morning, where the services will be held. Interment at the same place.
