Biological son of Perry Archie McEwen & Mary Emma McKay. Brother of Leonard G, Alvin, Joseph, Grace, Ruth, Hazel and twin sister May. Ray and May were adopted by The Oehring Family. They were reunited in 1946 with their birth mother and siblings. Sadly, their father had already passed away and a brother, Leonard G.
OEHRING, Ray T., Saginaw, Michigan. Our loving father and grandfather passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 at the age of 88 years. Ray was born February 8, 1923 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He married Doris Granger January 10, 1948 she predeceased him June 7, 2010. Ray was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Ray retired from General Motors in 1984. He served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed poetry and country road drives. Surviving are his three children; Kathleen (Joel) Molitor, Maryann (Joe) Mauro, William (Sandra) Oehring; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister May Eldred and many nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his parents Theodore and Jenny (Hurlebaus) Oehring. Funeral service will take place at Noon Thursday, June 30, 2011,at Grace Baptist Church, 4619 Mackinaw Rd. Pastor Terry Kuhns will officiate with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the auspices of VFW post 1859. Friends may call at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Road on Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again at the church on 11:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the funeral service.
