THOMAS C. DORRIETY 72 formerly of HOLT SUMMIT MO. and HOUSTON TEXAS. passed away MONDAY MAY 26, 2006 at his sister;s home in SANTA ROSA BEACH FLORIDA. a son of the late DEWEY F. and RUTH (FULFORD) Dorriety. ON MAY 16, 1978 he was married to Sharon L. Slayer who preceded her in death on MARCH 2, 2005.
TOM and SHARON operated several resturants over the years including CELLAR DOOR in HOUSTON TEXAS, US BAR and GRILL in HOUSTON TX. and ROSIE'S DINER IN HOLTS SUMMIT. from 2000-2003. TOM loved to watch tv and the only movies he ever said was good was SMOKEY AND THE BANNIT AND HOME ALONE. everthing else was ok.
HE is survived by two daughters, SONDRA SIMS (GARY) of HENDERSON NV, KATHY BAILEY (JOE) OF BEAUMONT TX. three stepdaughters, CHRISTINE SCHOENIE (GREGG) OF KATY TX. JULIE REZZOFFI (SAM) OF HOUSTON TX. CAROLYN MARTINEZ (MARIO) OF BEAUMONT TX. a stepson, ERIC SLATER (HOLLY) OF HOLT SUMMIT, one brother, BOB DORRIETY (ANN) OF DEFUNIAH SPRINGS FL. two sisters, BETTY BURGESS OF SANTA ROSA BEACH FLORIDA, JEANETTE LIPPMAN of the STATE of MARYLAND, fourteen grandchildren, and nine greatgrandchildren, he is also survived by the many dear friends they made at ROSIE;S DINER that made him and sharon feel like rthey were at home from the moment they arrived in holt summit. HE was preceded in death by a stepdaughter PAM S. SLATER IN JUNE 24, 1983.
FRIENDS will be received from 1-2p.m. SUNDAY JUNE 4, 2000 at the SLATER MILLARD FUNERAL HOME IN HOLT SUMMIT. FUNERAL services will follow at 2p.m. SUNDAY at the funeral home . graveside services will be held at 11a.m. TUESDAY JUNE 6, 2006 at the MEMORIAL OAK CEMETERY IN HOUSTON TX.
